We have an Administrator, A mediums secretary, Webmaster and an Ideas coordinator. At this time posts are filled by invitation or by members offering to run or organise some aspect of the organisation.
The funds come almost entirely from the collection. This pays for the hire of the hall and the cost of the Medium. Usually the amount collected barely covers these expenses. So it is important that people are generous with their offerings to ensure the future of the organisation
The Organisation runs two main types of service we have a divine service which helps those who believe in God and Spirit. We hold Mediumship Evenings for those who do not believe or are not interested in Divine Worship. As we say we are open to everybody whatever their beliefs and we have to try to cater for all
If you attend a Thetford Spiritualists meeting you will find that the meetings are open to anyone there is no formal application to join you just come along to Divine Services and/or Mediumship Evenings and that is it you are considered a member. We are considering an online community there will probally be a formal joining process online.
Yes. Spiritualist churches are able to carry out the functions expected of a church. You can be named (Baptised), get married, or hold a funeral service in a Spiritualist church, ask the Administrator for details
Yes Spiritualist Ministers are appointed by most Spiritualist Organizations. Mark Smith at Diss is our local Minister.
Yes! The last two services of the year proceeds of the raffle go to E.A.C.H the children's hospice
